The Belarusian Signal Troops Receives Another Serial Model of a New Digital Radio Relay Station
At the end of June 2020, a new digital radio relay station R-414MBRP Sosna-2 based on a mobile and rapidly deployable platform was shipped at AGAT – Control Systems JSC – Managing Company of Geoinformation Control Systems Holding in the interests of the state defence order. Since the beginning of the year, five products of this type have been delivered to the troops.
In developing Sosna-2 the experience of the practical implementation in the troops of the previous company’s product – the R-434 Tsitrus radio relay station was taken into account. Due to completely new construction principles, advanced technical and engineering solutions the station’s mobility and survivability, as well as the number of radio relay directions (the number of digital radio relay stations has increased to seven units) were increased.
The electromechanical principle of mast deployment is used in the new product. By pressing a single button automation tools provide deploying/displacing of the communications equipment including raising the mast to a height of 34 metres. Various types of antennas can be placed on the mast due to the versatile supporting and rotary devices and fixtures.
Another important feature of Sosna-2 is its modernisation plasticity which can be upgraded without significant changes in the design.
