SAMI Reviews Organisations’ Compliance with the Indicators of Socio-Economic Development in the First Half of the Year and the Forecast for Nine Months of 2020
During the board meeting of State Authority for Military Industry of the Republic of Belarus (SAMI), held on the basis of AGAT-Control Systems JSC – Managing Company of Geoinformation Control Systems Holding, there were reviewed problematic issues of SAMI companies’ compliance with indicators of socio-economic development in the first half of the year and the forecast for nine months of 2020. The conversation was attended by chiefs of central office departments, heads of SAMI companies with their deputies for economy and heads of structural subdivisions of organisations for foreign economic activity.
Minister of SAMI Dzmitry Pantus, drew participants’ attention to the importance of the issue included in the agenda. The head of the department thoroughly analysed the results of the implementation of key parameters of business plans in the first half of this year, focused on the emerging dynamics of socio-economic development and expected results of organisations for the first nine months of 2020.
The negative impact of COVID-19 in the world and the closure of state borders, falling world oil prices and exchange rate changes resulted in economic activities. At the same time, Dzmitry Pantus noted that from January to June 2020, SAMI organisations, in general, ensured the implementation of planned development parameters. Meanwhile, there is a certain lag from last year’s level on some indicators. In this regard, Minister of SAMI required to mobilise for this-year -tasks.
Dzmitry Pantus drew attention to the implementation of the export task, considered to be one of the main components of the balanced economic development of SAMI.
SAMI Minister warned the heads of organisations about the need to use effectively credit resources and make the most of the available in the legislation mechanisms of export promotion, including export credits.
Dzmitry Pantus noted good dynamics of financial results. Thus, the net profit of organisations increased 1.5 times, at a relatively high level of 17.9 per cent maintained the profitability of sale, which is 0.3 percentage points higher than the same indicator last year.
“There is no net loss,” said SAMI Minister. – Salaries for the period from January to June 2020 amounted to Br1,664, or 107 per cent of last year’s level. The positive trend should be maintained.
The board heard the chiefs of organisations, who, in their reports, reflected the real problems, emerging with the implementation of planned development parameters, as well as informed about the measures taken to improve the situation and expected results for the year. They were told about personal responsibility and adopting of comprehensive measures to maximise the achievement of the goals set by business plans. There was also set the task to prevent the decline of key performance indicators in the III – IV quarters of this year.
Minister of SAMI specifically set tasks for the heads of holdings and organisations, involved in the implementation of regional programmes, to develop the Baranovichi, Borisov and Orsha regions.
